feat(rules): forbid repeating a word already on the board in Erudit

Russian "Эрудит" treats a word laid on the board as belonging to the game: it cannot be laid again. Neither the solver, the backend nor the offline JS port knew the rule, so a player (and the robot) could replay a word freely. Official Scrabble places no such restriction, so both Scrabble variants keep playing unrestricted. The rule applies in two ways. A play whose main word is already on the board is illegal, and is neither accepted nor generated. A play whose perpendicular cross-word is already there stands — that word is incidental to laying the main word — but scores nothing. The set of played words is the game's own move journal, main words and cross-words alike, compared decoded, so a word spelled with a blank is the same word. It lives in the game layer, not the solver: only a game knows its history, and the solver stays stateless and standard-rules. The backend applies it at submit, at the move preview and over generated moves (filtering and re-ranking them, so neither the robot nor the hint can offer a play the engine would then refuse); the client port does the same for the offline engine and for the on-device preview of an online game. The rule is pinned per game (games.no_repeat_words, set from the variant at creation) rather than keyed on the variant, because a game is replayed from its journal on every open. Applied retroactively it would make an already-played repeat illegal — closing that game as a draw — and would rescore a play whose cross-word repeats an earlier word, shifting a live game's totals. Games created before the rule keep playing without it. The flag rides the wire as a trailing field because the client's preview must score the way the server does, and offline games pin the same answer in their own record. |

feat(offline): implicit net-state model, two-tier version gate, unified lobby

Land the offline-model redesign (ANDROID_PLAN.md O1-O7): replace the explicit offline toggle with a single detected net-state machine, unify the lobby, and add a two-tier client-version gate. Contour-safe: both version vars empty => dormant, the wire change is additive, so web/pwa/vk/tg behaviour is unchanged unless the gate is deliberately configured. O1 net-state reducer (test-first). O2 store + wiring (connection/offline shims; +@capacitor/network). O3 remove the offline toggle + migrate the pref. O4 two-tier gate: hard update_required degrades to an offline Update/Play-offline notice (not terminal); soft GATEWAY_RECOMMENDED_CLIENT_VERSION -> X-Update-Recommended nudge. O5 unified lobby (device-local + greyed-from-cache server games; self-set identity; closes G-step-0). O6 create flows (with-friends online/offline segment + offline dict guard). O7 docs. Telegram/VK stay online-only (contour review): the offline model is channel-gated via offlineCapable() (native + plain web; false in the mini-apps). offlineMode.active is hard-gated on it, so the whole model (blue chrome, unified/greyed lobby, transport kill switch, device-local vs_ai/hotseat create) stays inert in Telegram/VK regardless of the detected net state (closing a version-lock path that could have flipped them offline); and New Game's with-friends hides the online/offline segment there, leaving the remote invite alone. ARCHITECTURE already declared "Telegram/VK are exempt" - this makes the code match. Deploy/CI: wire the version gate through the deploy (GATEWAY_MIN_CLIENT_VERSION + GATEWAY_RECOMMENDED_CLIENT_VERSION as plain unprefixed vars via compose + ci.yaml + prod-deploy.yaml + write-prod-env.sh + .env.example) so the gate is live when set (test-contour commit-hash version fails open; empty => dormant). Disable the manual android-build CI workflow for now (rename .disabled). Bump the app bundle budget 127->130 KB for the added always-loaded wiring. Fix the UI Docker stage (gateway/Dockerfile): install --ignore-scripts so the Alpine/musl SPA build no longer tries to native-build sharp (a local android:assets tool, unused in the image); esbuild's binary is an optional dep so Vite still builds. Tests: gateway go green (two-tier gate over a real HTTP handler); docker build of the landing + gateway targets green locally; compose --no-interpolate confirms the gateway env; two new telegram.spec.ts e2e (offline signal keeps the chrome online + quick-match opponent choice visible => server enqueue; with-friends shows no pass-and-play), RED-verified; svelte-check 0/0, vitest 617, e2e 248 (chromium + webkit), build + bundle-size 127.8/130. |

feat(ui): per-kind active-game limit lock on the New Game screen

Carry the caller's per-tier active-game caps and each game's kind on the wire (Profile.game_limits + GameView.kind, additive FBS + gateway transcode + client codec, committed regen). The New Game screen counts the player's active games per kind from the lobby and locks a capped start: an outline button with a lock that opens a funnel modal instead of a game -- a sign-in prompt for a guest, a "finish a current game first" notice for a signed-in account (native Telegram popup, in-app modal elsewhere). The lock lifts via the existing profile refetch after a guest->durable upgrade. Remove the lobby's old at_game_limit New-Game tab disable + notice: the flag (now the random-kind cap) conflicted with the per-kind lock -- it hid the screen where the lock lives and wrongly blocked an unfulfilled kind. The New Game tab is always enabled; the per-kind start lock is the only gate. The at_game_limit wire field stays (unused by the client) for a later cleanup. Tests: client lock logic + codec kind/game_limits roundtrip + gateway transcode encode + native popup builders (unit); a mock e2e for the lock badge and the modal. |

fix(ui): green both lobby scores on a tie, mute a 0:0 board
CI / changes (pull_request) Successful in 2s
CI / unit (pull_request) Has been skipped
CI / integration (pull_request) Has been skipped
CI / ui (pull_request) Successful in 54s
CI / gate (pull_request) Successful in 0s
CI / deploy (pull_request) Successful in 1m7s
The lobby tinted only the viewer's own number, and a tie counted as "leading" — so an even score showed only the viewer's number green, reading as if the viewer were ahead. A fresh 0:0 board did the same, accenting the start of a game where nobody has scored. scoreStanding is now per-seat: the viewer's seat stays green when leading or tied and red when trailing; an opponent's seat greens only when it ties the viewer for the lead, so an equal non-zero score paints both numbers green. When the top score is 0 (nobody has moved) every number is left muted, like a finished game. |

feat(social): per-game friend request to disguised robots + lobby/stats/tile cosmetics
CI / changes (pull_request) Successful in 1s
CI / unit (pull_request) Successful in 9s
CI / integration (pull_request) Successful in 13s
CI / ui (pull_request) Successful in 54s
CI / gate (pull_request) Successful in 0s
CI / deploy (pull_request) Successful in 1m25s
Functional: the in-game add-friend handshake aimed at an auto-match opponent who is secretly a pooled robot now records the request per (game, seat) in a new robot_friend_requests table -- never against the shared robot account -- mirroring the robot_blocks pattern. The shared account stays out of friendships, the "requested" state is pinned to the seat (not leaked across the player's other games), the robot ignores it, and a background reaper drops the row 7 days after its game finishes. The outgoing-requests list carries these per-game rows so the seat control stays disabled across reloads. No withdraw UI, per owner decision. Cosmetics: - Lobby: an in-progress game tints the viewer's own score number green when leading or tied, red when trailing (reusing --ok/--danger); scores now render in seat-number order, matching the over-the-board scoreboard. - Stats: the per-variant best move is laid out on two lines -- the variant label, then the score (right-aligned in its column) and the word tiles (left-aligned) below it. - Dark theme: the played-tile background is a touch darker so a player-placed tile reads with more contrast (light theme unchanged). Docs (ARCHITECTURE, FUNCTIONAL + _ru mirror, backend README, UI_DESIGN) updated in the same change. |

feat: sparser robot nudges, typed unread badge, lobby unread bump

CI / integration (pull_request) Successful in 13s
CI / ui (pull_request) Successful in 53s
CI / gate (pull_request) Successful in 0s
CI / deploy (pull_request) Successful in 1m26s
Three owner-requested polish changes: - robot: replace the lengthening 60-90 min -> 6 h proactive-nudge ramp with a flat uniform 9-12 h wait before every nudge; the existing sleep-window gate still skips and defers a nudge that would land in the robot's night. - ui: colour the lobby/in-game unread dot by type -- the regular danger colour when a chat message is unread, a softer amber (--warn) when only nudges are. Adds a per-viewer unread_messages flag (chat_messages.kind='message') across the backend DTO, FlatBuffers wire, gateway transcode and the UI store. - ui: float games with any unread notification to the top of the lobby's your-turn and opponent-turn sections (finished keeps its order), reusing the existing unread_chat flag. Docs (ARCHITECTURE 7, FUNCTIONAL + _ru) updated. No DB migration; the new wire field is backward-compatible. |

Persist per-message read state as a chat_messages.unread_seats bitmask
(migration 00008): a text message seeds every recipient seat's bit, a nudge
only the awaited seat's. A seat's bit clears when the player opens the move
history or chat (POST /games/:id/chat/read, sent only when something is
unread), and a nudge additionally clears when its recipient answers by moving
(a wired game NudgeClearer, dependency-inverted so game keeps off social).
UI shows a per-viewer unread dot in the lobby (next to the opponent) and the
game score bar — the unread_chat game-view flag seeds it from authoritative
REST views, live chat/nudge events raise it. Opening the move history counts
as reading (even without entering chat): the 💬 fade-blinks twice and the
client acks. Admin Messages gains an unread-only filter, a read/unread column,
and a per-message card with the per-seat read breakdown. Observability:
chat_read_duration histogram + chat_unread_messages gauge + social tracing.

feat(nudge): name the sender; blink lobby cards; re-animate toasts
CI / changes (pull_request) Successful in 2s
CI / unit (pull_request) Successful in 9s
CI / integration (pull_request) Successful in 16s
CI / ui (pull_request) Successful in 49s
CI / gate (pull_request) Successful in 0s
CI / deploy (pull_request) Successful in 1m21s
The "waiting for your move" popup was the nudge (chat.nudge), shown without a
sender name. Resolve the nudger's per-game seat name server-side and carry it on
a new NudgeEvent.sender_name field, so:
- the in-app toast reads "<opponent>: Waiting for your move 🤭" (chat.nudgeBy);
- the out-of-app Telegram push names the sender too (render nudgeBy);
falling back to the plain phrase when the name is absent (RU mirrored). The
your_turn toast already named the opponent and is unchanged.
Lobby: when a card transitions into "your turn" or "finished" while the lobby is
open, its status emoji blinks twice (two 1s fades); the opponent's-turn change
stays in place. Blink state is keyed by game id (SvelteSet + per-id nonce/timer)
so overlapping events animate in isolation; suppressed under reduce-motion.
Toast: a per-message seq re-keys Toast.svelte, so the freshest toast cancels the
previous one and replays its entrance, uniformly on every screen.
Tests: notify.Nudge round-trip + render named/fallback (Go), game.Service.SeatName
(integration), codec/i18n/gamePhase/shouldBlink (UI). Docs (FUNCTIONAL +_ru,
UI_DESIGN) + PLAN TODO-7 (deferred FLIP card-relocation animation) updated.

feat: honest AI opponent in quick game

New Game's quick game gains an explicit opponent selector — 🤖 AI (default) or 👤 Random player. AI starts a game seated with a pooled robot that joins and moves at once: no per-move timeout (a 7-day inactivity loss reusing the turn-timeout sweeper), chat/nudge disabled, no statistics, the opponent shown as 🤖 everywhere. The random path (disguised robot) is unchanged. Driven by one game flag (games.vs_ai), set only on AI-started games so the disguised path is never revealed; Matchmaker.StartVsAI seats the robot directly (no open pool); the robot replies event-driven via the game service's after-commit/after-create hook. Wire: vs_ai on EnqueueRequest + GameView. |

fix(lobby): land in the opened game on enqueue + keep open games active in the lobby

Review fixes for open-game auto-match: decodeMatchResult dropped the game when matched=false (an open game awaiting an opponent), so the client never navigated into it - decode the game whenever present. The lobby grouped open games (status != 'active') into 'finished'; treat 'open' as in progress in groupGames/isMyTurn and resultBadge. The under-board status bar now reads "Opponent's turn" while the empty opponent seat is to move (instead of the searching placeholder). The New Game rule toggle is shown from the start when a Russian variant is available, so selecting a variant no longer shifts the layout. Regression tests: codec (game decoded with matched=false), lobbysort + result (open is in progress), and the new-game e2e updated. UI-only; no backend or schema change. |

Surface the per-game "single word" rule to the client and refine the random-opponent New Game screen. - Wire: thread multiple_words_per_turn into the GameView and Invitation FlatBuffers tables (Go + TS regenerated), through pkg/wire builders and both the backend push-event and gateway REST paths. - In-game indicators (single-word games only): a small 1 in the status bar's score-preview slot (yields to the live preview) and a centred "One word per turn" label in the history-drawer header. Standard games show neither. - Invitation card gains a "One word per turn" line for single-word invitations. - Auto-match redesign: variant plaques are mutually-exclusive selects (highlight on tap, no longer enqueue); a lone offered variant is pre-selected; a bottom "Start game" button (disabled until a variant is chosen) confirms. The rule toggle appears once a Russian variant is selected. - Tests: e2e for the new auto flow and the in-game indicator (mock g3 is a single-word game); mock/data + fixtures carry the new field. R1: schema & naming reset — squash migrations, rename variants
CI / changes (pull_request) Successful in 2s
CI / unit (pull_request) Successful in 9s
CI / integration (pull_request) Successful in 11s
CI / ui (pull_request) Successful in 37s
CI / gate (pull_request) Successful in 0s
CI / deploy (pull_request) Successful in 1m8s
Squash the 12 goose migrations into one 00001_baseline.sql (there is no prod data; verified schema-identical to the chain via a pg_dump diff + the green integration suite) and rename the game-variant labels english/russian_scrabble/erudit -> scrabble_en/scrabble_ru/erudit_ru across the backend, the FlatBuffers wire values and the UI. dawg filenames and the Go enum identifiers are unchanged; the i18n display keys are kept. Adds PRERELEASE.md (the R1-R7 pre-release tracker), linked from CLAUDE.md. Contour DB wipe and the scrabble-dictionary tidy are follow-ups. |

Stage 17 round 6 (#16/#17, PR C): lobby sort + server-derived in-game friend state

Lobby: group the my-games list into your-turn / opponent-turn / finished (empty sections hidden), ordered by last activity (your-turn oldest-first, the other two newest-first), as a compact line-separated list. gameDTO and FB GameView gain last_activity_unix (turn start while active, finish time once finished); a pure lib/lobbysort.ts holds the grouping/ordering. Friends: the in-game 'add to friends' item is now server-derived via a new GET /user/friends/outgoing (+ friends.outgoing op), returning addressees with a pending OR declined request (both read as 'request sent'), so it is correct across reloads; it shows a disabled '✓ in friends' once accepted. It live-updates when the opponent answers: RespondFriendRequest now publishes friend_added (accept) / friend_declined (new notify sub-kind, decline) to the original requester, whose open game re-derives its friend state. Tests: lobbysort unit test; gateway outgoing + last_activity transcode tests; backend integration ListOutgoingRequests + respond-publishes-to-requester; e2e updated for the new lobby section labels + a non-friend active opponent. Docs: ARCHITECTURE notify catalog, FUNCTIONAL(+ru) lobby/friends, PLAN. |
